The purpose of this survey was to obtain needed information on candle fish (Thaleichthys pacificus) from mouth to upstream end of Redwood National Park boundary through observations and photography. On April 19, 1973, Department of Fish and Game was notified that candlefish were running in Redwood creek and that commercial fisherman had made a 2500 lbs. delivery to one of the local fish processors.
