Taken from Workshop minutes: "In this presentation NOAA Fisheries personnel present the results from a scale growth analysis of Chinook salmon juveniles collected from Redwood Creek estuary during the summers of 1980-1995. Once valid growth functions are developed they relate growth rate and ultimate size to environmental variability in the estuary. Further, they relate the results of Redwood Creek Chinook early growth to the later ocean survival, growth, and maturation of stocks from nearby systems: Smith River and Klamath River. Discussed future directions and data sources/needs to improve modeling."
