According to the assessment salmonid populations have reached an historic low due to impairments to estuarine and stream habitat, lack of erosion control, and insufficient watershed management. recommendations made to improve the redwood Creek basin include addressing issues with barriers to fish passage, water quality, eroision and sediment delivery, and monitoring and education.
