The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to review the continuation of the National Park Service (NPS) action, Routine Road Maintenance Program in Redwood National Park, in sufficient detail to determine if the proposed action may affect any aquatic threatened or endangered species and/or their critical habitats. This renewal only covers NPS actions in the Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP) partnership. The NPS conducts road maintenance on national park roads in RNP and on two California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) owned roads – the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway in Humboldt County and the Mill Creek Campground Access Road in Del Norte County. The National Marine Fisheries Service letter of concurrence (LOC) concludes an informal consultation on the possible adverse effects of the Redwood National Park fire management plan on threatened species. The NMFS concludes that under the proposed plan, no adverse effects should occur.
