Wagner JI, Denn M, Seney J, Shorrock D, Kuhn B. 2016. 2015 Vegetation Monitoring Results and Analysis for the Summit Lake National Natural Landmark, Mount Evans, Colorado. NPS Water Resources Division. Fort Collins, CO

With the support of the NPS’s National Natural Landmarks Program, Denver Mountain Parks requested assistance from the NPS Water Resources Division in 2015 to evaluate impacts from visitor use, roads or other sources on wetland plant communities at Summit Lake National Natural Landmark (Mount Evans, CO). One specific objective was to establish plots that could be used to characterize and monitor changes in plant communities over time. This report documents results of a vegetation study designed and implemented by the authors to characterize the vegetation communities immediately upslope and downslope of the Mount Evans Scenic Byway in the park.
