This paper describes the impacts of human activities on the estuary and associated sloughs at the mouth of Redwood Creek. The resulting degradation of habitat affects juvenile salmonids, and the paper describes efforts by Redwood National Park to improve conditions. Construction of a large culvert to aid circulation in the south slough has had positive results to date. Includes a drawing of the river course and the flood-control levees added in 1968, plots of water levels (1988) and volume as affected by the culvert, aerial photographs (poor photocopies), and discharge tables.
