The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to review the proposed Redwood National Park (RNP) Middle Fork Lost Man Creek Forest Restoration Plan. The aim of this document is to review, in sufficient detail, whether these current and proposed actions may affect any threatened or endangered species and/or their critical habitats. The project is expected to take one to three consecutive years to complete, but due to unpredictable funding schedules this assessment will have a life span of five years or through 2017. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) letter of concurrence (LOC) concludes an informal consultation of the Middle Fork Lost Man Creek Forest Restoration Plan. The USFWS deems that no further action is necessary as long as the actions proposed are not modified in a way that affects the listed species of critical habitat.
