Introduction: "The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to review the proposed Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP or “park”) action, Lost Man Creek Erosion Control and Disturbed Lands Restoration Plan, in sufficient detail to determine if the proposed action may affect any threatened or endangered species and/or their critical habitats. This biological assessment is prepared in accordance with legal requirements set forth under section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (19 U.S.C. 1536 (c), 50 CFR 402), and meets the criteria for formal consultation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)."
