The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to review the proposed Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP) action, exotic plant management, in sufficient detail to determine if the proposed action may affect any threatened or endangered species and/or their designated critical habitats. This biological assessment is prepared in accordance with legal requirements set forth under section 7 of the Endangered Species Act and meets the criteria for informal consultation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Letter of Concurrence (LOC) concludes that Exotic Plant Management may affect, but is not likely to adversely affect endangered salmonid species or their designated critical habitats.
