The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to determine whether the Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP) Trail and Backcountry Management Plan proposed actions may affect terrestrial or non-anadromous aquatic threatened, endangered or candidate species and/or their critical habitats. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) biological opinion (BO) concludes the effects of implementing the proposed action and the cumulative effects of the Trail and Backcountry Management Plan is not likely to jeopardize the continued existence of the marbled murrelet.
