A total of 24 lichen species were identified on May 21, 2016 at the Harper's Ferry National Historic Park Bioblitz, of which, 22 species were found on trees and 4 species were found on rock. No lichens were found over soil. All species were within their distribution range and no rare lichens were identified. Those species identified during the Bioblitz that are less commonly found in the region and habitats surveyed include Bacidia schweinitzii, Graphis scripta, Myelochroa aurulenta and Pertusa
