The purposes of this general management plan/environmental impact statement are to define a direction for the management of the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic River and to specify the resource conditions and visitor experiences to be achieved on the wild and scenic river. The plan is intended to provide a framework to help guide management programs and set priorities for the next 15 to 20 years. The approved plan will provide a framework for making decisions about the future direction for the management and use of the wild and scenic river. (copy from report)
