The final results of the 1983 Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey, conducted from 2-17 January, are enclosed. As the attached table shows, 12,098 Bald Eagles were counted in the 46 states that participated. Although more eagles have been counted in past years, previous counts included all of the lower 48 states.
