This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Colorado State Historic Preservation Office (grant number P15AF00192) and a subgrant to the City of Cortez, Colorado (project number CO-15-016). The subgrant provided for the continuation of a survey of historic properties within the Original Townsite. Phase 4 of this survey called for an inventory of 28 properties on the north side of Main Street. Cortez, Colorado is a Certified Local Government.
