This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Georgia State Historic Preservation Office (grant number P15AF00076) and a subgrant to the City of Carrollton, Georgia (project number GA-15-029). The subgrant provided for phase 1 of a city-wide historic resources survey. Phase 1 surveyed the downtown, Maple Street, and In-Town South neighborhoods and a total of approximately 200 resources. A report was produced and entries were uploaded to the Georgia's Natural, Archaeological, and Historic Resources GIS (GNAHRGIS) database. Carrollton, Georgia is a Certified Local Government.
