This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund Grant to the Kansas State Historic Preservation Office (grant number P15AF00192) and a subgrant to Douglas County, Kansas (project number KS-15-001). The subgrant provided for the hiring of Henly Associates, Inc. to look at a previously completed reconnaissance survey of two townships in the rural part of Douglas county and then perform intensive survey on approximately 60 properties that appear to be potentially eligible for National Register listing. A total of 134 inventory records were updated and/or created as part of the project. Douglas County, Kansas is a Certified Local Government.
