These guidelines were funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Tennessee State Historic Preservation Office (grant number P15AF00044) and a subgrant to the City of Savannah, Tennessee (project number TN-15-029). The subgrant provided for the creation of design guidelines for local historic districts in Savannah, then the state's newest Certified Local Government.
