This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2012 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Texas Historical Commission (grant number 48-12-41950) and a subgrant to Comal County, Texas (project number TX-12-020). The subgrant provided for the initial part of a multi‐year, multi‐phase historic resources survey of Comal County, excluding the city limits of New Braunfels. A total of 901 historic resources were documented during this initial stage. Comal County, Texas is a Certified Local Government.
