This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (grant number P15AF00042) and a subgrant to the City of Belvidere, Illinois (project number IL-15-236). The subgrant provided for researching, identifying, and documenting historic resources in the Court House Square area, as Phase II of the ongoing survey efforts recommended in the Belvidere-Boone County Comprehensive Plan and the Rockford Region Strategic Diversification Plan.
