This survey was funded by a fiscal year 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (grant number P15AF00042) and a subgrant to Will County, Illinois (project number IL-15-246). The subgrant provided for surveying, identifying, and documenting historic structures and developing a statement of significance and contextual history of the rural Wilton Township area, a property of the county, in advance of the proposed Illiana Expressway project. Will County, Illinois is a Certified Local Government.
