This survey was funded in part by a 2015 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Alabama Historical Commission (grant number P15AF00024) and a subgrant to the City of Montevallo, Alabama (project number AL-15-020). Montevallo, Alabama is a Certified Local Government. Funding made possible a cultural resources study of the Mahler Property that indicated additional work, including both archival and field investigations, will be necessary to determine the integrity and National Register eligibility of archaeological resources in and near the former Perry Hall Plantation.
