Benthic marine macroalgae were sampled by tide pooling or snorkeling. Herbarium specimens were made of each species and archived at Arcadia University. A total of 85 specimens were collected at 8 different sites. This is a moderate amount of algal diversity for a rich subtropical flora,. Future work will focus on exploring the diversity around St. John. .
