Throughout the summer of 2016 we sampled each of the lakes located north or south of Green Lakes Valley 3 times, once in June, July, and August, in order to compare the characteristics of these lakes to the characteristics of the other lakes located in Niwot Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites. Our results show that zooplankton communities within Pear Reservoir, Lion Lake 2 and Snowbank Lake, are most strongly affected by both fish and chlorophyll concentrations as well as elevation.
