From introduction: "The purpose of this historic structure report was to review the documented history of Gruber Wagon Works located in Berks County, Pa., study its existing condition and formulate a plan for its functional restoration to be undertaken by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District. Drawings of the structure are included in report." The Wagon Works was displaced from its original site at Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania by the Blue Marsh Dam across Tulpehoken Creek. It was relocated to the Red Bridge Historic Area near Reading where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer was to be responsible for its restoration.
