From executive summary: "The Center for Community Design and Preservation (CCDP) Located within the College of Environment and Design (CED) at the University of Georgia was contracted by the City of Dublin, Georgia to conduct a Phase One Historic Resource Survey update of the locally designated Bellevue Avenue Historic District and the National Register Dublin Commercial District in December 2013. The overall survey area included two distinct subsections: the residential locally designated Bellevue Avenue Historic District, and the Dublin Commercial Historic District. In order to gauge the possibility of expanding either district, CCDP expanded the study area to include all parcels in the Bellevue Avenue Historic District from S. Lancaster St in the west, Highland Ave on the north, all parcel fronting Bellevue Ave on the south, to North Church Street at Academy Ave in the east. Also included in the residential survey area were the two blocks immediately south of Academy Ave, west of Church St, north of the train tracks and east of Rowe St. The boundary for the commercial survey area included parcels which fronted Madison Ave, to those fronting Washington St and Gaines St to S. Decatur St the east, Columbia St and Mincey St set the northern boundary, and Church St. delineated the western boundary... The survey identified 370 parcels within the assigned boundaries; 191 parcels contain a historic or potentially historic building, and one parcel contains a site that meets the minimum criteria for age, architectural integrity, and historic significance to be considered historic." Funding for this project was provided in part through a fiscal year 2013 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the City of Dublin (project number GA-13-022) administered by the Georgia State Historic Preservation Office (grant number P13AF00064) and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. Dublin, Georgia is a Certified Local Government.
