This report describes the results of surveys for foliar damage due to ozone in Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Colorado National Monuments, Dinosaur National Monument, and Mesa Verde National Park. Parks were selected based on the expectation that ozone concentrations were high enough to damage vegetation. Surveys were conducted on plant species known to be sensitive to ozone and performed in riparian areas to ensure that plants had access to water which increases the probability of damage. Sensitive species were discovered in each park, but surveys did not detect any foliar damage. This may have been due to a combination of below average ozone concentrations in 2016 and generally below average precipitation.
