This one-sheet, three-fold brochure features a history of the Union Pacific-built roundhouse, a timeline of Evanston's railroad history and a note promising the restoration of the roundhouse: "Today, the City of Evanston has bravely taken on the challenge to preserve and renovate this historically significant site. Currently listed on the National Register of Historic places, the Roundhouse & Railyards will one day be fully restored to its past glory, serving the area citizens of Evanston as both a beautiful gathering place and a classic monument to our greatest achievements." Project funding was provided in part by a 2011 Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Evanston Historic Preservation Commission (project number WY-11-37) administered by the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office (grant number 56-11-31957) and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. Evanston, Wyoming is a Certified Local Government.
