Four interpretive panels created for the Wardman's Washington project, which looks at the growth of the nation's capital from the perspective of a single developer's achievements. Sponsored by the DC Preservation League and funded in part by a sub-grant from the Humanities Council of Washington, D.C., through its Heritage Education Workshops, Database, Video Production and Community Grants Program. Panel one introduces row house developer Harry Wardman and three architects with whom he worked, Nicholas R. Grimm, Albert H. Beers and Mirhan Mesrobian. Panels two through four focus on the Bloomingdale, Columbia Heights and Brightwood-Fort Stevens Ridge neighborhoods, respectively. Project funding was provided in part by a 2013 Historic Preservation Fund grant to Humanities D.C. (project number DC-13-012) administered by the District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office (grant number P13AF00123) and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
