A one-sheet brochure featuring national and state parks, festivals and events, museums, historic buildings and pioneer sites in the Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area. Funding for this project was provided in part through a 2006 Preserve America grant to the City of Mt. Pleasant (grant number 49-06-PA-2038) administered by the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. Preserve America is a federal initiative that encourages and supports community efforts to preserve and enjoy our priceless cultural and natural heritage. The goals of the program include a greater shared knowledge about the nation's past, strengthened regional identities and local pride, increased local participation in preserving the country's cultural and natural heritage assets, and support for the economic vitality of our communities.
