Standard Operating Procedure SHR02 Training for Field Data Collection

This standard operating procedure (SOP) establishes the responsibility for conducting training, details the content and frequency of network training, and identifies the target audience of training. Because there are a number of decision-making steps in the shoreline-monitoring protocol, there is a need to provide for an understanding of coastal processes as a foundation for making shoreline identification. Training also explains and demonstrates the procedures for mission planning, operation of the GPS/GNSS equipment, and post-survey data handling. Therefore, training is the basis for consistency in the execution of this protocol.
