This brochure features photos of Osceola sites and residents, promotional copy stressing the village's "graciousness and inviting atmosphere," a map to sites of interest and helpful area phone numbers. Funding was provided in part by a 2008 Preserve America grant to the Village of Osceola (grant number 55-08-AP-4040) for the Osceola Heritage Awareness and Marketing Program. The grant was administered by the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. Preserve America is a federal initiative that encourages and supports community efforts to preserve and enjoy our priceless cultural and natural heritage. The goals of the program include a greater shared knowledge about the nation's past, strengthened regional identities and local pride, increased local participation in preserving the country's cultural and natural heritage assets, and support for the economic vitality of our communities.
