Introduction: "The purpose of this report is the present the results of inspections of the Benson Museum, in Benson, Arizona, to establish the significance and integrity of the building and to outline measures for its preservation. The building is known historically as the W.D. Martinez General Merchandise Store and the Ivey Building and formally as the San Pedro Valley Arts and Historical Society Museum." Funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant administered by the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
