Pursuant to the Wild and Scenic River Act (Public Law 90-542), the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation and other federal and state agencies to perform an eligibility report on the Obed River in Tennessee, to determine whether the river was subject to inclusion under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. The report contains basic data, study findings, conclusions and recommendations towards designation. It it worth mentioning that Public Law 94-485 (October 1976) passed, designating 45.2 miles of the 100-mile long Obed study area as a component of the National system. No action has been taken by the remaining 54.8 miles. Subsequent to the initial designation, the cost of including the remaining 54.8 miles have been reevaluated and included as an addendum to the initial report. The first document is a review draft of the study, which includes detailed maps of the area. The second document is the final draft of the study, but maps and images are missing.
