From introduction: "The City of Fairview Historic Overview is a study of events and themes as they relate to the history of Fairview. It follows the chronological periods set forth in the Handbook of Historic Presentation Planning in Oregon. as prepared by the staff of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). The Overview is an evolving document and should be updated from time to time. Funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant administered by the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
