Investigators Annual Report. Research Permit and Reporting System
On November 28, 2016 34 samples were collected within Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Locations were sampled near the Bodie Island Visitor Center: 35.818287, -75.564005. All samples were collected in 50 mL conical vial where we scooped up ~10-20 cm3 of sediment. This was placed in a cooler where it was transferred back to AgBiome where samples were analyzed to determine if varying levels of salinity had an effect on diversity of bacteria.
