RMNP Visitor Day Use Assessment Report

Resource Systems Group. 2017. RMNP Visitor Day Use Assessment Report. White River Junction, Vermont

Visitation to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) has grown dramatically in recent years, increasing from fewer than three million visits in 2010 to well over four and a half million visits in 2016. The overwhelming majority of this visitation is day use. The purpose of the needs assessment was to gather park staff perspectives on management issues associated with visitor day use and information needs for visitor day use management planning, identify gaps in existing information needed to inform visitor day use management planning, and summarize available social science information related to visitor day use in RMNP.
