This report contains the description of rehabilitation work at the Stone Library, from start to completion, under Supervising Architect Thomas Wister. The work necessary for rehabilitation of the exterior and interior of the Stone Library was described in the Architectural Data Section, Part I. This narrative of completion describes repairs and their costs. The scope of work consisted of general rehabilitation of the fabric, both on the interior and exterior, including repointing masonry walls, installing storm doors, painting exterior woodwork, replacing the bottoms of gallery posts with steel stilts, and painting the plaster ceiling. This report includes illustrations of the rehabilitation process and detailed descriptions of each procedure. The final inspection by Wister occurred on June 7, 1962.
