VCRIS (Virginia Cultural Resource Information System) provides interactive technology to access information in the DHR’s Archives. It streamlines data entry and reporting, and offers enhanced functionality for responding to a user's data requests. Serving as DHR’s online cultural resource inventory, V-CRIS provides information about individual properties, sites, and historic districts. It displays mapping and geographic information, and presents evaluative information about the historic significance of resources. Funding was provided in part by Historic Preservation Fund grants administered by the Virginia State Historic Preservation Office and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
