From introduction: "In recognition of our state’s golfing heritage, the Florida Department of State has created the Florida Historic Golf Trail program, designed to enhance public awareness of Florida’s historic golf courses and increase an appreciation for historic preservation and Florida history. This Florida Heritage Trail publication features the public, semi-private, military, and resort golf courses that are partners on the Florida Historic Golf Trail, and identifies other historic public and private golf courses across the state. For the most up to date information on the Florida Historic Golf Trail, visit FloridaHistoricGolfTrail.com." Funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant administered by the Florida State Historic Preservation Office (project number FL-14-015, grant number P14AF00060) and the State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
