This wetland/aquatic resource delineation was conducted in accordance with the 1987 USACE Wetlands Delineation Manual (USACE 1987), the 2010 Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Western Mountains, Valleys, and Coast Region, Version 2.0 (USACE 2010), the 2016 Updated Map and Drawing Standards for the South Pacific Division Regulatory Program (USACE 2016a), and the 2016 Minimum Standards For Acceptance Of Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports (USACE 2016b). Open waters in unvegetated active perennial channels representing potential Waters of the US were delineated by identifying the non-vegetated area below the ordinary high water mark (Curtis & Lichvar 2010; Mersel & Lichvar 2014; Wohl et al. 2016). A total of 1.931 acres of aquatic resources were delineated within a surveyed area of 25.24 acres. The aquatic resources consisted of 1.795 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands contiguous with 0.136 acres (1978 linear feet) of perennial riverine area classified as potential Waters of the United States. The delineated wetlands and stream are in generally good condition, containing native wetland plants, diverse native fauna, and unpolluted water. However, these aquatic resources occur in an erosion gully formed by late-19th century overgrazing and culverted flow.
