Special History Study, Park Building 48, An Armorer's Dwelling
Chickering P and Bumgardner S. 1995. Special History Study, Park Building 48, An Armorer's Dwelling. University of Maryland Cooperative Agreement
Historian Stan Bumgardner prepared the first draft of this report in order to support archeological investigations of the site conducted from August through November 1990. His final draft, prepared in May 1991, reflected review comments, but lacked the appendices he intended for inclusion. Additionally, records Bumgardner planned to examine were not available at National Archives at the May 1991 date. This final version combines an edited version of Bumgardner's text with addenda developed in the interim 4\ years and includes maps and photos in the appendices. To preserve the integrity of Baumgardner's original work, a copy of his May 1991 text is retained in the Park library.
