Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Preserve 2003 Vascular Plant Inventory

Panjabi SS, Decker K, Doyle G, Anderson DG. 2004. Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Preserve 2003 Vascular Plant Inventory. Colorado State University

As part of its biological inventory program, the National Park Service (NPS) contracted the Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) in 2001-2004 to conduct a field inventory of vascular plants of Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Preserve (GRSA). Although detailed botanical research had been conducted in GRSA by H.N. Dixon (1999) and others, additional research was needed, particularly regarding the distribution of low elevation wetland, high elevation, rare, and non-native plants, and to augment the GRSA Herbarium collection.
