Snowpack Chemistry Monitoring data for the ROMN network is collected by the USGS Rocky Mountain Regional Snowpack Chemistry Monitoring Program. The ROMN network provides funding for monitoring at the following sites: Loch Vale Meadow (ROMO), Loch Vale Forest (ROMO), Phantom Valley (ROMO), Lake Irene (ROMO), Apgar Lookout (GLAC), and Music Pass (GRSA). Monitoring objectives in the following: Determine annual status and trend in snow chemistry in snowpack (major ions). Analyze winter snowpack for snow water Equivalent and total chemical loading.
