This paper is divided into four primary sections (Introduction; Methods and Materials; Analysis of Data; References and Appendices) with all figures and tables following the narrative. Section 1.0 Introduction introduces Mammoth Cave National Park and discusses some of the organisms that are only known in the Mammoth Cave system. It also talks about past developed methodology developed by Dr. Thomas L. Poulson. Section 2.0 The Methods and Materials sections describes what measurements were taken (i.e. general habitat, stream geomorphology, coarse particulate matter, water flow and etc.) and how to conduct walking and snorkeling surveys. Section 3.0 Analysis of Data contains information on how to analyze the data that has been collected for Geomorphology and CPOM Samples, Water Quality, Community Composition Data, IBI Metrics and IBI Calculations. Section 4.0 Reference and Appendices contains Literature cited and Appendix for the document (i.e. equipment checklists and suppliers for gear) .
