ABSTRACT: A new species, Diploperla janeae Kondratieff & Verdone, 2017, is described from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. The new species is proposed based on details of the epiproct, lateral stylets, and general body coloration. Supporting data includes scanning electron micrographs and color images.
