ABSTRACT: The 13 known species of the subgenus Serratella include E. (S.) velmae from California. This new species, like E. Carolina Berner and Allen, and E. spiculosa Berner and Allen, is known only from the nymphal stage. Ephemerella molita McDunnough is of uncertain status; E. teresa Traver (=E. cognata Traver), new synonymy. Illustrated keys are given to the known nymphs and adults, and distributions and complete synonymies are given for each species.
