This report outlines the work accomplished in a restoration of the Mariah Wright House at Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. Originally included in the program for 1959, the restoration was deferred because programmed funds were inadequate. The interior rehabilitation that was planned in 1959 was not part of the 1965 work, but provisions were made so that it could be accomplished at a future time. Each section of the report summarizes the construction work performed in different areas, such as grading, concrete, masonry, carpentry, and finishing. Photos of the progress are included. Following this restoration, the house appears much as it would have in 1865 when General Robert E. Lee met General Ulysses S. Grant in the nearby McLean House for the surrender.
