IN Dunes Saw-whet Owl Project. Research Permit and Reporting System

In collaboration with Project Owlnet, Indiana Audubon studies the migration patterns of Saw-whet Owls through the Indiana Dunes. The 2017 season was a four year low, with only a single Saw-whet Owl being banded in the National Park Service permit area. 37 other birds were banded at the Indiana State Parks study site. The single bird captured and banded was a hatch year male, banded on 16 Dec 2017.
