To close knowledge gaps and provide defensible science-based recommendations regarding Big Cypress fox squirrel conservation, researchers from the University of Arizona will conduct a landscape-scale occupancy study on public lands in southwest Florida. Knowledge regarding species distribution, specific areas of occupancy, and movement patterns will be used to provide science-based management recommendations for this Species of Special Concern in southwest Florida.
