Harpers Ferry Package No. 226, Project Type 82, was initiated in 1983 to catalogue, conserve, and prepare for curation the artifacts resulting from previous archeological projects in Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Archeological investigations in the park have been ongoing for the past 20 years and have generated large quantities of artifacts.
